Position Summary:  
Our client is  looking for an ambitious hands on accountant who is keen to be a part of a progressive organization, experiencing positive growth. Reporting to both the MD and Commercial director, you will be analysing our performance, identifying profitable production & sales streams whilst capturing our costs of production to help us to reduce spending .The reports you will be responsible for will address the specific needs of the business across all its functions. The successful candidate will be able to  highlight in good time any variances to budgets and anticipate and implement the necessary changes to align with the plan. This is a critical function in our organization, offering clear succession and development for the right individual.

Responsibilities:
Implement and  oversee all financial systems
Preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
Monitor cashflow projections
Monitor expenditure
Oversee all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable and payable, WIP
Preparation of timely monthly accounts
Reporting financial matters monthly to the board
Revenue reporting
Responsibility for all payroll functions tax filings, VAT returns etc.
Responsible for all Capex processing
Maintaining the general ledger accounts including capital assets ,inventory and tax remittance

The Person

Skills & Competencies:

Qualified accountant with 3 to 5 years’ experience in full cycle accounting
Demonstrable background in cost management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Leadership qualities are a must due to the growing nature of the business and the department
Good mix of application experience and proven track record of organizational agility
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team and also independently
Familiar with working to tight deadlines
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
Attention to detail in all areas of work
Strong accounting software knowledge
Excellent Excel skills
Comfortable in a dynamic and fast paced environment
