Credit Controller

Salary: €40,000 - €45,000
Fully Office Based
My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Credit Controller on a permanent basis.
Candidates will need to have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role.
A good working knowledge of Excel is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Target Cash-flow collections for the month and plan for achievement of target
- Liaise with and monitor closely the sales team cash collection process, daily, weekly.
- Provide support to the sales team on reconciling accounts, resolving queries and debtor collection
- Monitor and review credit terms for new and existing accounts
- Maintain and keep accurate our current Herbst CRM module
- Maintain customers within agreed trading terms
- Manage and monitor debt collection from first contact to legal to completion.
- Proactively identify and resolve credit control issues and escalate to manager when required.
- Daily allocation of receipts to customer accounts and resolving unallocated queries
- Ensuring all delivery dockets are invoiced on a daily basis
- Part of the month end close off and timely dispatch of customer statements
- Provide weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Improvement of debtor collection and the reporting process
- Achievement of credit control team KPIs to drive efficiency and effectiveness
- Ensuring all credit notes approved before processing
- Support the transition to a paperless credit control department
- Report to the Credit Control Manager and work closely with the sales and finance team
The Person
Key Skills:
- Minimum three years’ experience
- Excellent communication, negotiation and analytical skills
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently
- Strong time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience in process improvement, automation and system implementation
- Project work to improve processes within credit control
- Strong Microsoft excel and word skills
