70% of the role to include the below
• Bookkeeping and administrative staff to ensure VAT and Payroll processing deadlines are met.
• Manage bookkeeping and administrative staff’s educational and training needs where required or identified as required and report to management.
• Provide general supporting activities and services to allow employees work comfortably.
• Liaising with staff and clients in regard to the flow of information and documentation between our clients and staff. Ensuring client expectations are met.
• Working with the directors to maintain client relations and managing client expectations.
• Implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems.
• Onboarding new clients, including company formation tax registration, set-up on our practice management system, allocate to team etc
• During our team meetings, present any information/procedures we as a firm could be doing in order to work more efficiently as firm and to provide scope for discussion around what is being shared.
• Assisting staff with IT needs via our external IT providers.
• Reporting staff matters to management with suggested solutions.
• Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
30% of the role to include the below
• Responsibility for a small portfolio of bookkeeping clients
• Preparing and reviewing multiple VAT Returns
• Bank Reconciliations, process sales and purchase invoices
• Filing returns on ROS
The Person
Criteria
• IATI or similar qualified
• 5+ years bookkeeping experience in practice
• Ideally 2+ years experience in similar role of being a Practice office manager
• Experience with using Accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks and Dext preferable
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles
• Ability to work independently and as part of a Team
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
