The Role
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Work with department heads to ensure all ordering and purchases have been captured and recorded using the correct procedures and systems.
• Working closely with departments to support the delivery of accurate stock takes and recording of inter departmental transfers and waste.
• Visit sites and physically inspect stockholding areas for stock holding levels, conduct spot checks and observe weaknesses in any security controls.
• Assist in the analysis of significant variances.
• Liaise with suppliers to capture any proposed pricing updates and communicate same with relevant department.
• Support department heads / head chefs with pricing decisions by providing accurate and current suppliers costings information.
• Ensure department managers are trained and aware of financial procedures and responsibilities within their unit
• Assist in the completion accurate weekly forecasts.
• Assist in the completion accurate monthly accounts.
• Assist unit management team in understanding of key commercial drivers of business.
• Attend and support cash operations at important and selected calendar sporting events.
• Attend and support end of event billing procedures and processes at selected calendar sporting events.
The Person
• High numeric and analytical skills and attention to detail
• Previous operational experience in catering and hospitality
• Excellent communication skills - ability to communicate oral and written information concisely and logically
• Pro-active approach
• Ability to analyse and evaluate information
• Excellent inter personal skills with proven ability to influence internal and external parties
• Self motivated with an ability to effectively plan and organise own work

• Flexibility to travel for event support
Desirable:
• Experience of operating within a multi-site, multi-contract organization
• Experience with cash offices, although becoming less relevant
• Good working knowledge of SAP & Cognos
