The Role

Assistant Accountant 

Naas - Permanent

Salary: €35,000 - €45,000

 

My client is seeking to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate can have a third level accounting qualification, IATI Qualified or studying towards professional exams.

Experience within a manufacturing background along with strong Excel skills would be a distinct advantage

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurate preparation of Customer quotations in line with SOP & agreed timelines to support in sales & growth strategy with clear communication around any deadline hurdles.
  • Timely collaboration with other departments to ensure an efficient costing / quotations process
  • Provision/validation of data as required by the commercial team
  • Log and report on all quotation requests and their turnaround times detailing any bottlenecks impacting OTIF.
  • Provision of a High level of service and attention to key identified stakeholders
  • Liaison with Operational and other departments on all matters relating to financial governance and customer service
  • Maintenance of all associated systems and records
  • Financial analysis and reporting on all other relevant cost areas relevant to the pricing / quotations process, e.g., Raw Material and packaging prices, costs of production etc.
  • Ensuring strict compliance with relevant SOP’s
  • Ad hoc financial projects / tasks as identified by line manager

The Person

Keys Skills:

  • 3rd level accounting qualification
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent planning, analytical and organisational skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Excellent interpersonal, written & verbal communication skills
  • Team player with the ability to act on own initiative
  • Flexibility and ability to manage change in a fast-moving business
  • Ability to prioritise and make sound business decisions
  • Demonstrated strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • A strong sense of urgency and responsiveness
