The Role

Salary: €50,000 - €55,000 


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 10 Payroll Specialists
  • Be the “go to” person for technical queries
  • Monthly contact with clients and ensuring work carried out by the team is absolutely accurate
  • Ensure team have a manageable payroll schedule
  • Ensure compliance, data protection and control risk within the function
  • Provide ad-hoc solutions to clients e.g. regarding redundancies or onboarding.
  • Be enthusiastic and passionate about providing clients with the highest level of service
  • Maintaining and further developing the relationship with the existing customer base throughout Ireland and the UK
  • Identifying and implementing solutions with both the existing and new client set
  • Regular auditing of documentation to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Participate in payroll process improvement projects, efficiencies, automation and systems enhancements
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal controls, KPIs, budgets and other financial and quality control matters
  • Participation in projects as requested including system implementation, process reviews, product/service innovation, testing etc.

The Person

The Ideal candidates will have the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience managing a team within a bureau or shared service environment
  • Experience of Sage Micropay, Megapay, Payroll Journals, CSO Returns and Payroll Year End procedures
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel & Outlook
  • Excellent time management, administration skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Genuine passion for payroll
