Packaging & Procurement Professional
Location: Dublin 15
Permanent position
Salary: €37,000 - €42,000
You will become part of the commercial team in Dublin responsible for developing and procuring new packaging . You will be reporting to the Business Leader and you will also have ‘dotted’ line connections with our central teams of Innovation and Procurement.
- Develop (and search the world!) for new packaging concepts and packaging solutions to generate profitable growth for products
- Lead the procuring of (new) packaging material at the best possible terms and conditions
- You will be focusing on:
Active participation in multidisciplinary commercial teams
Coordinate and perform packaging tests
Making mock ups, prototypes and (technical) drawings
Participate in brainstorms and ideation sessions
Preparation of packaging material specifications
Preparation of SKU specifications - Negotiate terms & conditions with packaging suppliers
- Compare pricing of existing and new packaging and where ever possible benchmark to competition
- Participate in Technology Platforms (intended for knowledge building)
The Person
We are looking for a creative and passionate Packaging Technologist & Procurement Professional, available full time who meets at least the following requirements:
- Hard working and driven
- Positive attitude with a tenacious ‘can do’ approach to the role is needed
- Team Player that can work on own initiative
- High attention to detail
- Ability to think analytically
- Experience in a rapidly changing and results-oriented organization
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant work experience in FMCG Packaging R&D
- Location is Dublin but must have a willingness to travel in Europe.
- Excellent English Communication Skills – Written/Verbal
