The Role

Accounts Assistant

Kildare - Fixed Term Contract

Salary: €27-32K

Start Date: July 2017

 

My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant to cover a fixed term contract.

The contract will be initially be 12 month but may increase to 18 months.

SAP experience is required for this role

Experience within a Construction or Engineering background would be an advantage

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Taking daily telephone calls and dealing with invoice queries
  • Coding and registering invoices
  • Scanning and sending of  invoices to Quantity Surveyors
  • Raising Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders for projects
  • General filing
  • Monitoring and control of the automated SAP approval process of PR to PO to Invoice to Payment
  • Preparing Creditor Reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Monitoring of Online Timesheet system for project
  • Recording monthly mobile phone bills, fuel card invoices and allocation of group recharges
  • Obtaining RCT information from subcontractors
  • Code and post onto Accounting System all employees expenses
  • Give support and help to Commercial Managers and any internal customers

The Person

Key Skills:

  • Previous Accounts payable or receivable experience
  • Construction Industry background would be an advantage
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of SAP accounting system
  • Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement change
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team player as the person will deal internally with different colleagues for each business unit, with business managers and external customer and suppliers
  • RCT knowledge
  • IATI or equivalent accounting qualifications ( or in the process of attaining qualifications)
  • Word and Excel ,Outlook
