Accounts Assistant
Maynooth - Permanent
Salary: €40,000 - €45,000
Office Based Role
My client is seeking to appoint an experienced Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis.
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
Experience of using Sage Line 200 or Coins would be a distinct advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing of purchase invoices
- Reconciling Supplier accounts
- Preparing invoices for payment – collating relevant backup and approvals; ensuring rates and quantities are confirmed against PO
- Preparing weekly payment runs
- Maintenance of Inbox – ensuring all documents received are processed and all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Tracking and reviewing employee expenses for approval and payment
- Ensuring good working relationship with suppliers
- Liaising with commercial buyers and quantity surveyors to ensure accounts are set up correctly and queries are addressed timely
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly RCT returns and bi-monthly VAT returns
- Assisting in system migration
- Assist with other administration tasks and projects across other company departments
The Person
Key Skills:
- 2-3 years’ experience working in a busy finance department
- Excellent organisational, verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with high volume transactions is essential
- Experience in the Construction industry is a distinct advantage
- COINs experience is desirable
- Must be able to work on own initiative, and also be a motivated, team player
